Reiki Master/Teacher Barbara Kaplan holds degrees in education and psychology. During her 15 year teaching career, students ranged in age from pre-school to adults.

Barbara's interest in healing began 25 years ago as a distributor and lecturer for a major nutrition company. An introduction to Reiki was the result of a personal illness requiring prolonged medical treatment. She wanted to do something healthy for her body and was directed to a Reiki therapist who later became her teacher.

Barbara has been a Reiki therapist for over 15 years and is currently teaching others how they too can be¬come a channel for Reiki energy.

In addition to her private therapy practice and teaching the four levels of Reiki, Barbara has given Reiki therapy in the Oncology Department of CentraState Hospital, Freehold, N.J.
